Make a profile with SSH&

With SSH&, you’ll have a weekly chance to win a room or house, so all the more reason to create a profile with us! You can make a free profile on our website. With this profile and a valid study certificate, you can immediately be in with a chance for available rooms, so what are you waiting for?

Responding to rooms and other types of housing

New vacant rooms and other types of housing will be posted on our offer page every week. This happens every Wednesday at 12.00 pm. You can respond the whole week, so there’s no rush. You can respond to one place per week, so be sure to check that the room or house meets your needs. If you don’t win the draw for a place, don’t worry. You’ll be in with the same chance every week. So if you’re looking, respond to places every week.

Think about what you need from a property in advance

You can find all kinds of housing on our offer page, so how do you know which ad to respond to? It’s a good idea to have a list of what you want beforehand so you can figure out which property suits you best quickly. Things to consider are:

• What are the total monthly costs and can you afford it?
• Where in the city is the house/room? Is it near to the school, the nightlife or the station?
• Will all your furniture fit into the house/room?
• Do you want lots of flatmates? Or would you prefer something quieter?
• How has the room/house maintained?

Urgent application?

Are you in a rush to find a room? It is possible to urgently apply for a room through SSH&. This is only possible in exceptional situations. If you qualify, you can be given a priority for a room. First, however, before a decision is made, all requests are closely examined. This is what the Commissie van Toewijzing (committee for assigning places) does.
