Rent collection procedure

The rent must have been transferred to the SSHN's account at the latest on the last day of the month prior to the month for which payment is due.
If you do not pay the rent on time you will receive a demand for payment.
If the rent arrears are then not paid off immediately you will receive a warning by registered post. The costs of sending this warning by registered post will always be charged to you.
The same may happen when you frequently pay your rent a number of weeks too late. After all, you are required to pay your rent in advance.
If you still remain in default, a bailiff will be engaged to collect the overdue amounts. SSHN has to take such measures approximately 60 times a year. The high costs involved are entirely charged to the tenant. Moreover, in such a case, the tenant can then only make a payment arrangement with the bailiff.
Non-payment of rent will ultimately result in eviction by order of the sub-district court. On average this happens 5 times a year.
